Terms of use
Plain words, no fine print. Last changed 14 September 2026.
The free tool
- Where the data comes from. The businesses it shows come from Google Places at the time of the search. When this copy of the tool has no Google key it shows made-up sample businesses instead, and says so in a banner on the page.
- No guarantee it is right. We do not check the results. A name, phone number, rating, or whether a business has a website can be wrong or out of date, and the tool will not find every business in a suburb. Ring before you rely on anything it shows you.
- No guarantee it is up. The tool is free. It caches results for 24 hours, it limits how many live searches it runs a day, and it can be changed or switched off at any time.
- The data is Google's. Use what you find to contact a business yourself. Do not build a database from it, resell it, or pass a list on to anyone else. Google's own terms apply to you as well as to us.
- What you do with the list is on you. One message per business, say who you are, and take no for an answer. The Spam Act and the Do Not Call Register apply to your calls and messages, not to ours.
The guide
- What it is. A digital product: a written guide and a Python script, delivered as a download after payment. Nothing is posted.
- Price and payment. A$49 in Australian dollars, once. Payment goes through Square's hosted checkout. No card details are entered on this site or seen by us.
- Refund. The sales page says it, and it is the whole policy: "if you read it and it is not what this page says it is, reply to your receipt within 14 days and you get your money back." Nothing here takes away any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Your copy. One copy, for your own use in your own business. Do not share, post or resell the guide or the script.
- Running the script. It runs on your own computer with your own Google Places key, and the requests it makes are billed to your Google account, not ours. The guide tells you how to set a budget alert first. The script is provided as it is, with no promise that it suits your purpose.
Not legal advice
Nothing on this site or in the guide, including the Spam Act and Do Not Call Register material, is legal advice. It is our reading of the law as small business owners. If you are going to call or message at any volume, pay a lawyer for an hour.
